Best Tamil Novels - An amateur look Part 3

It's been quite some time i haven't updated my blog. So thought to update it with the recent best novels I read and I highly recommend reading them.

12. Gopalla Grammam (கோபல்ல கிராமம்) by கி. ராஜநாராயணன் (K. Rajanarayanan): A must read novel. The flow is very natural and very simple that you don't wish to keep the book down without reading it at a stretch. You can read a good review of this book here and here

13. Oru Manidhan, Oru Veedu, Oru Ulagam (ஒரு மனிதன் ஒரு வீடு ஒரு உலகம் ) by ஜெயகாந்தன்: A Classic novel by Jeyakanthan. Excellent character's, excellent flow and excellent story telling. Must read for any novel lovers.

14. Payanigal Kavanikavum (பயணிகள் கவனிக்கவும்) by பாலகுமாரன்: One of the best efforts from  Balakumaran. 

விதவைகள் திருமணம் செய்து கொள்வது அவ்வளவு பாவமா? ஒரு இளைஞன் விதவையை காதலிப்பது கேவலமா? 

This book answers the above question in a very interesting way.

15.   Mohamul (மோகமுள்) by தி. ஜானகிராமன்: Wonderfully written novel. மிக நிதானமாக padika vendiya novel. Even though it goes to 686 pages, it is worth reading and the experience you get reading it cannot be easily described in words.

16. Mercury Pookal (மெர்க்குரிப் பூக்கள்) by பாலகுமாரன்: Another best classic from writer Balakumaran. A novel which describes about an assassination occurred during a major tractor production company strike, and revolves around the life of labors, union leaders, and external political supporters.

17. Naalai Matroru Naalae (நாளை மற்றொரு நாளே) by G Nagarajan. ஒருவனின் ஒரு நாள் வாழ்க்கையைப் பற்றிப் பேசுகிறது. ஜி.நாகராஜனின் 'நாளை மற்றொரு நாளே' எனும் புதினம் க்ரியா ராமகிருஷ்ணனி்ன் பங்களிப்புடன் ஆங்கிலத்தில் மொழிபெயர்ப்பாகி (Tomorrow one more day) எனும் நூலாக பெங்குவின் பதிப்பகம் மூலம் வெளியாகியிருக்கிறது. 18. என் பெயர் ராமசேஷன் (En Peyar Ramaseshan) by Aadhavan:  Brilliant work by Aadhavan. It is so pity to know that this author has died very early and it's a loss to the literature world. I still feel I am not so equipped to understand the real worth of this novel. Will surely read again sometime in future.

19. Amma Vandhal (அம்மா வந்தாள் ) by தி. ஜானகிராமன் : Famous writer Jeyamohan says "தமிழில் நுண்ணிய அடித்தளங்கள் கொண்ட மிகச்சிறந்த நாவல்களில் ஒன்று அம்மா வந்தாள்." What else one need to know the worth of this book? you can read his writing on this book here

It is said to be a controversial book too at the time it got released many years ago. It is wonderfully written again by Janakiraman. Another beautiful review is available here

20. Pallikondapuram (பள்ளிகொண்டபுரம்) by நீல. பத்மநாபன்: I don't know why, but i got so impressed with this book that I again went to one of the page, which moved me very much. That page gave an assurance for a belief which is already uprooted in me for so many years. Excellently written book. One of the top books which should surely be in your bookshelf.

My aim to publish all of them here is for any person who is looking for opening to Tamil top novels and not knowing which one to go for. As the title says, I am an amateur in this world. That's why i never try to give any detailed review of any book I read. Because i am not eligible for it.
