Mr. God Part II

(In response to overwhelming demand, here is part II of my story "Mr.God")

Part II continues....

Now the scene turn towards the last but not the least participant Mr. Ganesh.

Parvathi saw Ganesh hurriedly moving out without having his breakfast. “Merae ladla, where are you going, please have your breakfast betae” – said the never stop worrying mother.

“Ma, mujhe tho bilkul bhook nahi lagrahe hai, mein kya karoon, infact I have to meet one person as soon as possible, so don’t disturb me” – saying this ganesh went away.

There, Narada could see ganesh coming towards him place.

“Aa ji sir, kya hal hai, aaj istaraf kaisae ahna hua ? – enquired narada.

“Yaar, I’m full of anger towards you. I heard that you are the person who gave this idea of beauty contest and also you are the person who have selected the participant list. But sir, who told you do all these things. Ah, there are so much problems & things to set right in the world, do you think any contest that too beauty contest is any way needed for us in the current scenario”.? – Ganesh

Before ganesh continues, narada interrupts, “so you started feeling inferior even before the event has started, I guess you might be feeling that you are in no way match to others and feeling yourself more ugly in front of them, isn’t it ? argued Narada.

“Look narada, you are totally mistaken. I don’t have any concern or interest on those things which are going to decay after a small period of time, Winning or losing doesn’t matter to me anything, Whatever you judge or decide, it doesn’t mean that it is the Universal Truth. What you define as Beauty might not be the same for what definition I give to beauty, okay ! – ganesh.

“Can you explain” asked narada.

“Its very simple narada. If you conduct a beauty contest in Nigeria, where neogrows live, and if bruce willis also took part in the contest, according to them, black is the beauty, they will consider bruce as the most ugliest person and they would never even allow him to participate in the contest. And the same would be opposite, if it is been conducted in America”. – Ganesh.

“Mr. Ganesh your argument is good to hear, but it cannot be practical. You have to go with the world, you need to accept people’s comments, if you are one among the society, isn’t it”, again argued narada.

“It would be the stupidity of a lotus flower to think that it looks ugly, only because it is been grown in the ditch water. No matter how impure & ugly the surroundings may be, lotus has it’s own beauty. So if people seeing the surroundings, say lotus is ugly, and if the lotus flower become serious by the words of the society, it only means, neither the society is matured nor the lotus is matured”. – Ganesh.

So how do you want the people of such complex live, then ? – asked narada.

“Again the lotus itself is the best example. Have you seen the water drops on the lotus leaves. Though the water drops is on the lotus leaves, still the leaves doesn’t get itself involved or mingled with the water drops. In the same way, society’s behavior or comments though can be heard, we shouldn’t get ourself involved & mingled with them.”

“So finally are you going to run away from the contest” ? - narada.

“No certainly not, why should I ?. I accept that I don’t mind winning or losing in the contest, nor I am bothered about other comments. I know my capabilities & strengths. Instead of worrying about my defects, I’m more satisfied, happy, blissful & full of ecstasy in knowing my strengths and work in my day-2-day life with what I’ve got and see to that I’m in anyway helpful to others. At the same time, I respect your decision and I don’t want to ignore anybody or anything. Infact it would be more fun to be a part of the contest, as I can have myself a little break” winkled ganesh and said a friendly bye to narada.

A week’s time quickly run as soon as possible. There, shiva was all muscular and the special training given by Bhima weren’t bad enough. It tremendously improved shiva’s muscles & biceps. Shiva now started looking more fresh and sparkling. Parvathi couldn’t believe her eyes. She was all praise of Shiva’s new & refreshing looks. On the other day, she even joked shiva by asking whether the world needs any other new Avatar from their family. Knowing the intentions of parvathi, shiva just closed his ears and ran whispering ‘shiva, shiva’…….!

Vishnu on the other side look more pride full of ego surrounded by Hanuman & Meera who always engaged in praising His beauty. He become more restless day by day and already started behaving in a peculiar way with all poor human qualities.

Brahma, the creator of the world, re-created his own self, had a different look. He himself started thinking as the most superior god. He decided that once he wins the beauty contest, he would create a different set of mankind, who would bring awareness among the society about the cunningness of shiva & vishnu and how they intelligently avoided any temple to be build on brahma, their duty would also to build new temples for Brahma and praise his power & beauty always.

On the other hand, Ganesh was all more concentrated in doing his day-2-day activities, helping his friends & societies in the ways possible.

On the eventful day, everybody arrived at the centre. But only could Ganesh reach the stage. Narada enquired about others to ganesh.

“Where are the other participants, Mr. Ganesh” enquired narada.

“Poor they are standing outside, the gatekeeper isn’t allowing them inside” – Ganesh

“Whhaaaaaaaat, why so” – asked bewildered narada

“Because the gatekeeper couldn’t identify them, they look so new & different that the Gatekeeper thought for someone else, and all their attempts to prove their identity are going in vein” – replied the ever smiling ganesh.

So finally Narada has to go the gate to rescue Shiva, Vishnu & Brahma. At the same time, narada thought how time could change everything, now narada is in the position to rescue the mighty Gods !.

Now each participant are asked to show their skills & talents in front of the stage, so that the jury can mark them according to their performance.

First it was the turn of Vishnu. In front of the stage, Vishnu came with all proudness & pride. He changed himself with the posture of Rama & Krishna. He also mesmerized everybody by playing his flute. After a while, he waved his hands to everybody and got down. Narada just thought for a while and noted down something on his paper.

Next turn was Mr. Shiva. As soon as he entered the stage, he started showing his muscle power & also his biceps. He tried to show the masculine power in every possible ways. People were amazed of seeing shiva’s new muscular body and his power all the way. The thundering applauds made shiva to finish his show and also made himself sure that he did all that were needed to get the Mr. God title. Narada, took some time and noted down something on the paper.

Now it was Mr. Brahma’s turn. He came with a broad chest, a good height and with a pleasing hair style (of course in all his heads). He just walked in all corners of the stage, showed his outer so called beauty (that he thinks !) and he was very much pleased that the people were just stunned by the mere presence of Brahma. He too waved his hands to the public and got down. Again, narada after a few minutes silent thinking, noted down something on the paper.

And finally it was announced that Mr. Ganesh will come on to the stage. At once, shiva, vishnu & Brahma couldn’t able to control their laughter. They couldn’t imagine on any way that a fellow with long ears, elephant nose and big stomach, taking part in the beauty contest.

When Mr. Ganesh, entered the stage, he just looked down on the floor, picked something and put it aside carefully. Then he saw all the crowd with a pleasing smile and then got down immediately. Brahma just commented that poor ganesh don’t have anything to show. Shiva asserted that he might be probably ashamed of himself that he doesn’t possess any great quality of beauty with him. Though Ganapathi could clearly hear what they spoke, he remained so calm with smiling face without being corrupted by their poisonous words.

Finally it was time for narada to announce the result.

Hi, with all considerations, I have no hesitation & delay in selecting the most beautiful god in the world. It is none other than……….,

The moment of pause, had really made Vishnu, Shiva & Brahma go into utter madness. They urged narada to announce the winner, “come on narada, come on, tell my name…..” shouted all the three.

“okay, okay…. It is none other than MR. GANAPATHI.” Said narada affirmatively.

The three main deities & crowd become suddenly silent. They can’t believe their own ears. They felt as if it’s the end of the world. They found their heads dizzying. Poor, Brahma had to suffer the most, as he had to manage with 3 heads.

But “WHHHHHYYYYYYYYY”, this was the utmost words that they could ask for, as they are no longer in the position even to fight or argue.

Quietly narada smiled and said, “because He deserves it the most”.

“You people, thought the mere muscular body or fair complexion or stylish hair would constitute beauties in oneself. No, it’s not like that. These are only outward qualities, which are certainly going to decay at one point of time. After all, if one is going be fired after his death, only the skeleton is going to remain. And strangely, even though each human being look differently, their identity is one and the same when you see them in the form skeleton. Almost all skeleton look alike and that is the universal truth. The so called, definitions of beauty stress more on outward looks and it doesn’t necessarily identify the true personality”.

“If you could see these people, all that exists inside them are cunningness, pride, proudness, selfishness and the last but not the least the Hypocrisy”. The true nature was itself missing in these people and they were only trying to pose something else which they aren’t for sure”.

“What beauty refers here is the most natural phenomenon that exists in one own self which you bring out without any damage or altering, with pure innocence & love. And strangely, I could not see any natural beauty in these people. But with Ganapathi, the case was different. Everything in him is so natural, the very nature of the natural is nothing but beauty. So firstly, the natural behavior of ganapathi which he showed without any alteration is the first foremost quality that I saw in him, which inspired me very much.

“Even on the other day when he was arguing about the contest, he didn’t even think that he shouldn’t talk to me like that, as I’m the judge and I might make the case worse for him. He just came to me and argued what he feels right and rightly went away. There I found the absence of Hypocrisy in him. This I would say a essential quality for oneself to be judged as the most beautiful person in the world”.

“Could you now all please see his eyes, though it is covered with contact lens becoz of his poor eye sight, but still all you can see in his eyes is nothing but pure innocence. You can see such purity of innocence only in children, as they aren’t corrupted by the temptations & dust in the society. The same innocence you can see in his eyes, which is missing in all of us. The innocence, I would say is another important quality to judge oneself as the most beautiful person in the world. On the other day, Mr. Ganapathi was complaining me that I never look his face and talk, but always see here & there while talking. Yes, it’s true, I admit. What can I do sir, his eyes are so powerful with innocence, that I become spellbound by it. It is then very difficult for me to see anything else. I just become so obsessed with it that I had to spend my remaining day preoccupied with that pure innocence. That is the power of innocence one can make. There is no one in this world, but bow down to the innocence of a child. And he is rightly a child by heart, and I see the beauty in it”.

“Often, people when they become powerful, they become so head weighted and proud that they forget their past path and they don’t even look down to earth. This is the case happened today. Mesmerized by the tune of krishna’s flute, a small ant was lying on the stage, which no one noticed. It was Vishnu in the form of krishna, who first stepped it with his legs. All it cried, “vishnu, help me………” but poor, it didn’t realize that now vishnu is no longer had the godliness quality in him. He is now full of pride and wanting for fame, that he utterly forgotten his duty but remained in wantage of pleasures. The people who followed vishnu, i.e. Shiva or Brahma, they too hit the ant severely, because, all their concentration was only to attract me and on the title. They even forgotten the basic human qualities. That is the power of fame that it can even change the very nature of the these gods. But ganapathi, didn’t give importance to me or the title. The moment he entered the stage, all he could see & hear is of that cry of that poor ant. With all great love, he held that ant and gave necessary treatment to be given and put it in the safer place. Now that I would call a real beauty when one doesn’t forget his true nature for the sake of fame or pleasure”.

“Even though he didn’t like to participate in the event and disliked the very essence of conducting a beauty contest, he did respect the sentiments of others, and quietly participated in the event. This quality, I would say, is the real beauty to be adored and praised”.

Now there was utter silence in the crowd and after some time, all the 3 gods clapped their hands gladly and accepted the decision of Narada. They all requested Mr. ganapathi to say few words to them and also to the society.

Ganapathi started, “Thanks my fellow beings for giving me this honour. To be frank, I now feel more embraced to have this title with me. To me everybody are equal. If one is more muscular, that is his strength. If one his more intellectual, then it’s his strength. Instead of worrying, what I haven’t got, it is always wise to see what are all those things that I have in me, through which I can fulfill my duty in my life. The life should be purposeful, just to be born & died, in midst of all problems, is not a human nature. This can be done by animals. You human beings, have some extra super natural power in you, which you ought to use it for better purpose”.

“I pity for those people, who forgetting their true self & power, waste their time in worrying for petty things. They themselves become what others say about them and not knowing their own true personality. If 999 persons out of thousand say a lie, it doesn’t mean that it would become a truth. The truth is always a truth and it can never be altered or changed. People today spend their times on things which are about to change & decay in few periods of time. Instead, they should search for that quality which never changes and lives even after their death. Can any one forget the smile of Gandhiji. He is half naked, bald head, old model specs, no teeth, but still his smile itself is a real beauty. He is now remembered by almost every body. Same case for Mother Teresa. These are the real beautiful person in the world, their truths & qualities never fade away. It exists with the cosmos and be ever flowing nature”.

“I can never forgive any body who waste their precious life given to them, by spending the time worrying about their external qualities & beauty. The same people who tell you are great, would tell you are a cheater next day. So it doesn’t matter what others say about us, but how much helpful we are going to be for our own self is the important point to be noted down. Every people are equipped with essential willpower & strength to overcome their problems in their life. They should search for these inner quality and try to improve on life. All those stones that they come across in their life, should be made as a stepping stone to climb up the ladder of success. My wishes & grace are always with those people who have never say die attitude and who never let down their efforts”.

“No matter whether people believe in me or not. No matter whether people believe in god or not, whomsoever see me atleast, I will give them enough strength, confidence, power & stable mind, to encounter their problems and become successful in their life”.

In midst of thundering applauds, Mr. Ganapathi, the most beautiful god in the universe, walked silently on his way home.

Don't Call me Madrasi!

I really hate people calling us Madrasi. Well for those who still haven’t visited north, let me give you a brief idea of what I’m talking about. In north india they call all people coming from south as “madrasi”. No matter if you are from andhra or karnataka or kerala or tamilnadu, only way they know to classify us is “madrasi”.

In most cases, the word is being used as an insult. Most of them do have a cheaky look and cunning smile when they term it. They feel superior and often try to downtroden us. It’s another fact that most people who are in higher grades in any type of business/politics here are madarasi’s. oh! sorry, I mean south indians. (I shouldn’t follow the same foot steps, might be a hangover of staying here for a long time). May be they feel we have cut down their opportunities or sharing their place/rights. I wonder, how those north indian people who come down to south for business/living are treated. I’m sure they are well treated and given equal status.

Another disgusting factor is the way they think we talk their language (hindi). Thanks to mehaboob, a famous bollywood comedian, who has enacted a role of a madrasi in one of his earlier movie. He has set a bench mark of how south indians talk hindi. Till today, whether it is in public life or in films or t.v serials, a south indian character is always shown in a degrading manner. He would be shown as stupid or idiot mostly. And in some recent films I see him as a villain. Wow, good improvement. And pity, they still follow mehaboob style of talking. I accept my hindi ascent is not as good as others here, but it doesn’t mean that we all talk in similar pattern as been potrayed by mehaboob in a movie being released possibly when I was a child. Come on, grow up guys!

I also admit that very often I’ve been insulted and I become an object of laughter for people when I accidentaly talk hindi in tamil ascent. If they couldn’t appreciate our ability to cope up with them, atleast don’t make a mockery of us. While we don’t make fun of their language, our complex (who said!) language is a topic of laughter for them! It might also be the factor of myself being pushed as a “loner” sometimes.

I am not saying all north indian guys are one and the same. There might be few good exceptions. But this is my opinion, feeling & experience in this city in the past 8 years.

Well it would lot better if we can see each other as indians rather than giving a different look and meaning to the way we look or talk…

Today's: To hate a person is a waste; half the people you hate don't care, and the other half don't know.

Down but not out....

Hi folks! Sorry for keeping my blog in a quiescent state for last couple of days. Nothing was working normal both at personal & official level. Though it is still the same, I'’ve decided to move ahead instead of waiting for it to become perfect! So what Am I going to do now.. Well I did get a knot for two stories yesterday while I was traveling back home in a very enjoyable one hour ride in Delhi State Transport (It is surely another topic to writeseparately with a suitable topic "“My experience with STC"” - state transport corp.).

Of course I need time to put those small idea into a story. But I am thinking to make it as short as possible. I probabaly writing (story) again after a long gap, I don'’t know if I still have those skills to make it interesting to read for someone, nevertheless who cares, let me pour it here.. so keep waiting, until then I will try to fill this blog with some as usual useless stuff....

Love Island

Love Island
============

Once upon a time there was an island where all the feelings
lived; happiness, sadness, knowledge, and all the others,
including love.

One day it was announced to all of the feelings that the island
was going to sink to the bottom of the ocean.
So all the feelings prepared their boats to leave.

Love was the only one that stayed. She wanted to preserve
the island paradise until the last possible moment.

When the island was almost totally under, Love decided it was
time to leave. She began looking for someone to ask for help.
Just then Richness was passing by in a grand boat. Love asked,
"Richness, Can I come with you on your boat?"
Richness answered, " I'm sorry, but there is a lot of silver and
gold on my boat and there would be no room for you anywhere."

Then Love decided to ask Vanity for help who was passing in a
beautiful vessel. Love cried out, "Vanity, help me please."
"I can't help you", Vanity said, "You are all wet and will
damage my beautiful boat."

Next, Love saw Sadness passing by. Love said, "Sadness, please
let me go with you." Sadness answered, "Love, I'm sorry, but, I
just need to be alone now."

Then, Love saw Happiness. Love cried out, " Happiness, please
take me with you." But Happiness was so overjoyed that he
didn't hear Love calling to him.

Love began to cry. Then, she heard a voice say, "Come Love,
I will take you with me." It was an elder.

Love felt so blessed and overjoyed that she forgot to ask the
elder his name.

When they arrived on land the elder went on his way.
Love realized how much she owed the elder.

Love then found Knowledge and asked,
"Who was it that helped me?"

"It was Time", Knowledge answered.

"But why did Time help me when no one else would?", Love asked.

Knowledge smiled and with deep wisdom and sincerity, answered,
"Because only Time is capable of understanding how great Love is."

Mis-under-standing!

Ok, you have started talking to a stranger, slowly you start feeling he/she is no more a stranger but a good companion or a good friend or least to say a good human being. But how many seconds, minutes, hours, days, months or years you need to create a real misunderstanding between the two! I guess, it's takes no time to happen! But Why? Is it our fault or is it the fault of the medium or is it the fault of loss of words? The question are plenty and answer is um... a Google search helped me. I hope even if I don't follow it, atleast some people might be benefited:

Eliminating Misunderstanding

It is wiser to choose what you say than say what you choose

Husbands and wives separate, friends become estranged, and coworkers refuse to cooperate. What causes these sad developments? More often than not, miscommunication. I have seen good people grow apart because of misunderstanding. They thought they were communicating, but they weren't. They were talking (arguing may be more accurate). What's the difference between talking and communicating? Communicating has two parts: talking and listening. The root of the verb "communicate" means to share. How can we share thoughts and feelings unless all parties in the conversation listen with understanding as well as speak? How do we tell our spouses we love them? Not by words, but by LISTENING to what they have to say.

We hear, but we don't listen. We don't absorb the points being made. What causes this breakdown in communication? It's simply because we have different backgrounds, experiences, and histories. The way we view the world and interpret events differs. These differences easily lead to clashes. Once tempers rise, we say what we choose instead of choosing what we say. These quarrels amplify the misunderstanding and further the separation. True, if we share the same ideas, there would be no disagreements, but what a dull world it would be!

The first step toward eliminating misunderstanding is to realize that we are all both different and the same. Because of our different backgrounds, we have different points of view. Yet, we are the same in that we have a need to be understood and appreciated. Knowledge of these simple facts is necessary to end misunderstanding. For as W.E.B. Du Bois wrote, "Herein lies the tragedy of the age: not that men are poor, - all men know something of poverty; not that men are wicked; - who is good? not that men are ignorant, - what is truth? Nay, but that men know so little of men."

The next time you feel yourself disagreeing with someone, stop and ask yourself how their world view differs from yours. Put yourself in their place. Try to understand where they're coming from. Always start with the assumption that, like you, they are decent people. When you think you understand (but don't necessarily agree with) their view, verify and clarify. That is, tell them, "So what you are saying is . . . and what you mean by that is . . .). After going back and forth a few times, you may be surprised to learn you are in complete agreement. The moral is never rush to judgment. Don't jump to conclusions.

You may understand their point but still disagree with it. If your opinion is different, don't you want others to respect your right to disagree? Of course you do! How do you get others to respect your beliefs? By respecting theirs! Just tell them, "I cannot say that I agree with you, but I respect your right to have a different opinion." Often disagreements arise because we focus on the words being used instead of focusing on the speaker. Spicy, hot, cold, rich, poor, liberty, and justice. Although we understand these words, we interpret them differently. So focus not on the words, but the heart of the person. Try to understand the person, not the words. The same advice appears in the Hindu Upanishads (8 ~ 6 centuries BC), "It is not the language but the speaker that we want to understand."

Occasionally, despite our best efforts, conflicts will develop. If so, there's no need to despair. After all, conflicts are always opportunities for growth. Use conflicts to learn where you went wrong and make the necessary corrections. As long as we learn from our mistakes, we will continue to move forward. When we seek to understand first and seek to be understood second, we will avoid most problems. Also, when we understand one another, there will be no need for forgiveness. If we wish to avoid misunderstanding and conflict when delivering a message, it should be stated in positive terms. Let's look at an example of the wrong approach. The Chairperson at a board meeting makes the following announcement.

"To make our meetings more effective and productive, no one will speak until they are recognized by the chair and they will not take more than three minutes to give their opinion. Also, interrupting others will not be tolerated."

While the Chairperson's motives may be pure, I'm afraid the members of the board meeting may experience intimidation, frustration, and low morale. These ingredients may lead to conflict, just what the Chairperson is trying to avoid! Notice the difference when we present the statement in a positive light.

"Thank you for coming. We value your opinions and ideas. To make sure I receive your valuable input without interruption, please wait to be recognized before speaking. When called on, take your time and spend as much as three minutes to express your opinion."

Don't you agree that rephrasing everything in a positive manner makes a huge difference? In other words, different approaches will lead to different outcomes.
We can almost end misunderstanding if we empty our minds of biases, preconceptions, arrogance, narrow-mindedness, and stereotyping. Remember, too, those we're speaking with may feel threatened. We can help to dispel such negative feelings by dispensing some kindness.

"Constant kindness can accomplish much." said Albert Schweitzer, "As the sun makes ice melt, kindness causes misunderstanding, mistrust, and hostility to evaporate." As long as we realize that two monologues do not make a dialogue, and communication does not mean others must agree with us, we should do all right. Happy communicating!

Ganesha Symbolism

This is one pic that I received several years back from one of my cyber friend. Too bad, I dont know about his/her whereabout's now. However I thought it is worth enough to share it with others.

Today's thought:

God, give me courage to do what I can,
humility to admit what I can't,
and wisdom to know the difference.

Good or Bad!

In India's capital kissing in public is tabooo. So beware those new born lovers. They now face fines of Rs 500 if they are caught making "illegal use" of public spaces. It seems that earlier the fine was Rs.50 levied under a 1936 law and it didn't help much as it's too little amount to do and escape.

Hope I can freely roam around those parks next time without having to close my eyes (well did I close my eyes last time?).....

Today's one-liner:

The first time we kissed,
I closed my eyes,
You closed your eyes
and........ We missed!

Today's One liner: "The real art of conversation is not only to say the right thing at the right time. But also to leave the wrong thing unsaid at the most tempting moment."

Update

Here after, at the end of each post, I'll also add one proverb/one-liners. It might be related to my post or it might be totally out of context. But nevertheless they are thought provoking/inspiring for me.

Todays Thought: Utility is when you have one telephone, luxury is when you have two, and paradise is when you have none.

Simran is Back

To all Tamil Fans, Simran is Back! But not to the Film Industry, this time it is the World of Politics.

Thanks to rediff, You can have a look at her latest avatar. She still draws enormous crowd and look ravishingly young!

Useful Tool

This is the program I find very useful & handy. This is called "Tray It".

TrayIt! allows to save precious Taskbar space for minimized windows. For each application which applies TrayIt! it creates a small icon in the System Tray. (System Tray area is located near the Clock). When application's window is minimized this icon represents the application on the Taskbar instead of the regular "minimized rectangle".

It is particularly useful for background tasks you typically keep running on your PC all day long like your favorite E-mail client, Real Player, etc.

So next time, when you open your blog pages during your office hours, like I do... but don't stare, I don't comprise on any official works though.. It's only during some free time and.. (ok, ok, enough of justification), you can use this little program to save it on your system tray and also hide it temporarily.

Check it out, you can download it here

What does it Mean?

Well, if anybody wonder why I have selected pachaimayil as my blog address? (very simple, I can't find anything interesting)Ooops, let me not so boring..

Recently I started hearing bhajans from Pithukuli Muragadoss. I remember hearing him in my school days when my mom used to put it on a Tape. I reluctantly hear it by holding my mom's hand and half way start snoring... that's my vague memory about his songs. But recently when I saw few mp3 songs of his on net, I couldn't resist myself from downloading them. (My main intentions was to make my mom hear it, as the old audio cassette no longer works!) And boy, what a stunner! Now I have become a great fan of him. Those mp3 are some live recordings of his musical program at South Africa. He was so lively, melodious and encouraging the audience. No doubt everybody in there were spell bound. (Me too...)

Out of many of his inspiring songs, I particularly like the song "pachaimayil vaganamae, siva balasubramaniyanae vaaa...." Mr. God

Well, I didn't find much to write now, it's only few hours passed since I created a ID. So i thought, why can't I publish one of my story (though first in English) here! Though it has a small story of it's own behind it, which I would reveal it sometime later personally! So from here on let my story scroll down; (please dont misuse it!)

13 August 2003

Mr. God

(I sincerely apologize to all gods for wrongly using their names in my story, I wish they support & join hands with my intentions & concern)

Once there held a competition deciding the most beautiful god in the universe at brahmaloga. It was announced that the most beautiful God selected by the jury will be awarded “Mr. God” title. It was also decided that Mr. Shiva, Mr. Vishnu, Mr. Brahma & Mr. Ganapathi will participate in the competition. Mr. Narada will be the jury to select the most beautiful god among the list. There was a gap of one week for the event to begin and everybody got much tensed and was eagerly waiting for the competition.

Parvathi was amazed to see shiv in this state of despair. She was puzzled and asked, “Eh shiv, what happened yaar, why u look so depressed” ?.

Shiv replied, “yaar, don’t disturb me, leave me alone”

No, I can’t , I will never, more than concern, my curiosity is reaching its maximum limit, and I can’t hold on. “Tell me nah, please, please”………. Parvathi started bawling.

Seeing parvathi in such a worrying state, shiv cannot hold on any more. Shiv very well knew that the Woman’s strongest weapon is her tears, in front of which no mighty arms can withstand.

“Yaar, suno tho, why are you turning that side, let me see your face first”. - shiv

Nahi, I wont, you are not sharing anything with me, this is bad on your part, I wont talk to you” – parvathi.

Acha, baba, I’m sorry, maf kardo na yaar, mein kaan pakadlu ? – shiv.

Koi zaroorat nahi, tell me first, why are so much worried ? – parvathi.

Then shiva started explaining about the events and said he is much worried that his looks aren’t good enough to match with vishnu and he can never think of winning the Mr. God contest. His words are full of depression and also of jealous over vishnu.

Parvathi consoled him but all of no vein. After much tussle, parvathi could able to make shiv normal. She advised him that instead of wasting time in depression, he should prepare for the big event and said that he has all ingredients to become Mr. God. Motivated by her words, Shiv started planning how to make himself more beautiful than before.

He decided that he will remove all the ornaments which are made of skulls & ashes from his body. He also asked the snake in his neck to go on a vacation for a week’s time and return back after the event.

Shiv now saw himself in the mirror and thought that he still needs to be more muscular. He decided that he will join the Jim run by Mr. Bhima for a week so that he improve on his body structure. He was also not much happy too see his long thick hair and firmly decided to trim his hair and look more stylish.

Shiv thought that he can easily win over ganapathi & brahma but only Mr. vishnu will be a tough competitor. But Finally, shiv started feeling more satisfied that his plans would definitely make him more smart than Mr. Vishu and already started day dreaming about the Mr. God title.

On the other hand, lakshmi heard about the event and came running towards Vishu.

“Arey, suntheho, kya ho such hein jo mein suna Mr. God eventkae barae mein” ? – Lakshmi

“Ah ah, ho such hain, tho kya hai yaar” vishu replied in a more relaxed way.

“Tum pagal hochukae ho, I just heard parvathi talking to saraswathi about her hubby’s plans to win the contest. Poor they didn’t know that I am listening to them. I am afraid that shiv’s efforts to become Mr. God might become true and you are only going to end up as a loser”. Infact Mein eh sab sunkae, itna depressed hokae, aap ko eh sab batanae keliyae dhodkae ahrahihoon, magar aap tho eha aisae laitae huvaen hai aisi ki aapnae pehalaehi contest mein jeet gaya jaisa ? – Lakshmi poured everything without giving a gap even for her to breath.

“Aray yaar, tum tho kamakam parishan horahi ho, let me tell you, I am going to be the Mr. God, you take it from me” – Vishnu assured Lakshmi.

“I don’t think so, becoz neither you are taking any efforts nor any plans to win the contest. All I could see is your lying down posture, infact from the day I married you, I am only seeing you lying down in the bed of snakes enjoying everything in your dream world” – Lakshmi.

“Bas karo yaar, I don’t know how can you easily under-rate my capabilities. Any how you know very well that I am the most sought person by all women when I was Rama & Krishna. That itself is a major proof that I am more smarty than Shiv. On the other hand, I can never think Ganapathi as a competitor for a beauty contest”.

“Acha acha, teek teek hai, bas karo” – Lakshmi face all become red with anger mixed with possessiveness.

This only added the pride of vishnu more and smiled in a more mischievous way.

He added, “Know what ?, the judge is none other than Narada, who is an ardent devotee of myself. Did you ever watched narada whispering anything else than my name in his life. If I’m his world, how can he ever select somebody else as Mr. God. So obviously, by all means and ends, I’m the most beautiful god in the universe and rightly I’m gonna win the Mr. God title”.

Though lakshmi was irritated by vishnu’s pride and thought to herself that how fame can make one proudy, she was at the same time proud to be a wife of Mr. God and felt superior comparing herself with Parvathi. So all could Lakshmi do is to join hands with Vishnu to join the party.

Now the screen turn towards Brahma’s palace. Brahma could be seen involved in doing house hold activities, while saraswathi was busy in cleaning her instrument. Suddenly, saraswathi got reminded of the contest, and quickly went to brahma.

“Ah ji aap kya kar rahe hain, aap ko kisnae bola eh sara kam karnae keliyae, ah, aap ko tho aaram karna chahiyae na, bicharae aap kitna patlae hochukae hai, come sit here”, saraswathi by saying this gave a seat for brahma to sit.

Brahma, now really become puzzled. He quickly pinched himself to see whether he is in dream world or in reality. He can’t believe his own eyes. The same women who always torture him to do all the house hold activities without bothering about him, is now offering all kindness & concern. Brahma thought, it is usually said by playing veena for a longer duration more heat is generated in the body, so doesn’t it reached her head now and as a result she has started behaving in an unusual way ?

“Aa ji kya hua aapko, harvakth aap koya koya rahatae ho, kya legae app, kuch thanda ya garam ? – saraswathi offered with all so called ‘kindness’.

Brahma started to feel as if he is flying. He is never used to such irrational behavior from sarasu (as he calls her with love !). Anyhow, all he can do is to enjoy & cherish this as much as possible because, in these days, it is very rare to get words full of kindness & concern from anybody. So truly believing in the false behavior of sarasu, he started to feel majestic.

Massaging his legs, slowly sarasu started, “You know what?, today morning, I was talking to parvathi and she is all praise of her hubby. There is still one week for the event, but she already started behaving as if shiv has won the contest and she is the proud wife of Mr. God, uhhhh, I couldn’t able to sit there. She didn’t even care that she is talking to the person whose husband is also taking part in the contest, infact I just vowed inside that the next time I would see parvathi will be only after you win the contest, teek hai”. – Saraswathi slowly started talking with authority.

Now brahma could sense the reality. He quickly smiled himself realizing that how cunning people are that they are even ready to behave like a slave to satisfy or feed their ego.

But with her persistent nagging, just like playing been to bring in control of the snake, Brahma finally had to bow down to the words of laksh. After all, who haven’t bow down to their wife. All needed here is the careful & selective usage of words and strongly striking the weakest point of the opposite to get things done. Infact all women have this ability and strong will power to get things done of any nature and meet their needs, but its only their ignorance which make them to suffer. And laksh is not an ignorant but master of this art and she didn’t need to waste much effort to convince Brahma.

Though Brahma earlier rightly decided to walk out of the contest, because of the play played by his beloved, Brahma involuntarily had to become a part of the play. So all could Brahma now think and eye is on the Mr. God title.

“Yaar, sab tho teek hai, magar, tumae lagta hai, mein Mr. God contest mein jeet saktha hoon, where is the beauty of vishnu & shiva and where I’m. I feel more inferior in front of them yaar” - said Brahma.

“Oh ho, you always under estimate yourself, tell me one thing, who created Aishwarya Rai, Bruce Willis, Kajol, is it Shiva or Vishnu or Mera pyara pati dev ? – enquired Saraswathi.

“Ah, ‘I’ am the creator, there is no doubt about it. Sarasu, you have a valid point in your argument. If ‘I’ could make all the beautiful men & women in the world, why can’t ‘I’ become a beautiful men on my own, it is very much possible”. Answered Brahma. The pride of ‘I’ slowly started to play its role on the head, sorry, heads (3 nah) of Brahma.

After much discussion & planning, brahma decided to re-write his own book of life and slowly started to become more muscular, more colourful, more stylish than before. Seeing his sudden change, Saraswathi could do nothing but blush all the way.

“Now there is no doubt, you are going to be Mr. God, Infact I am very much interested to see the face of Parvathi on the eventful day, she would be all ashamed to see my face, haina” – laughed Saraswathi with all pride.

“Tum tho iskae liyae hasrahee ho, I wonder why that Ganapathi was involved in this contest. I can never imagine ganapathi as one of the participant in a Beauty contest” – saying this, Brahma busted into more heavier laughter than Saraswathi.

Now the scene turn towards the last but not the least participant Mr. Ganesh.
